VELUX Pitched Roof Solar Powered Opening Skylights - VSS C08 - 550 x 1400mm

The VELUX Solar Powered opening skylight is the ultimate skylight to provide abundant daylight and controllable ventilation. This pitched roof version is designed for roofs with a pitch between 15 and 90 degrees (vertical).

Fast & Natural Ventilation / Cooling

Taking advantage of the natural tendency of hot air to rise, you can quickly cool your home by opening the skylight along with some lower windows.

Skylight opening can be operated effortlessly through either manual control, facilitated by the included Radio Frequency wall-mounted keypad in the standard installation, or automatic functionality powered by an optional VELUX ACTIVE upgrade. The automatic option utilizes built-in temperature, humidity, and CO2 sensors, and also provides additional control through an app to operate your skylights and blinds using your smartphone. VELUX solar skylights are powered by a concealed battery pack, discreetly recharged by an external solar panel. This innovative design ensures continual operation day or night.

Skylight Rain Sensors

Get all the fresh air you want without worrying about the potential of impending rain when your skylights are open, as VELUX rain sensors automatically close your skylights when rain is detected - included in all VELUX solar skylight installations.
